Hey, I'm Carl Marquis!
With over 20 years of experience, I’ve helped students master Mathematics and Physics at every level—from Algebra and Geometry to Calculus and Trigonometry. There’s nothing I enjoy more than seeing that moment of clarity when a tricky concept finally clicks.
I hold both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Aeronautical Engineering, which means I bring a deep, practical understanding of math and science to every session. Along the way, I’ve also had the joy of supporting my three now-grown children through their education journeys.
My tutoring philosophy is simple: true understanding comes first. Too often, students learn the steps but miss the ‘why’—like the real meaning behind the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.
I love helping students build a strong foundation, using thought-provoking questions to encourage curiosity and deeper learning before jumping into problem-solving.
Learning works best when it’s fun and stress-free, so I like to keep sessions light and sprinkle in some humor.
I also use tools like an iPad Pro and Microsoft OneNote to create colorful, interactive notes—making even the toughest topics easier to understand.
